Recycled Fashion Show, Beijing China

We are hosting a recycled fashion show the beginning of August. The purpose of our event is to bring awareness about the importance of design when dealing with waste. We hope to demonstrate that with a high level of creativity, garments can be made to the highest level of design using waste materials. All proceeds from this event (fashion show- after party), will go to the library project which builds libraries for poor communities in China.

Beijing Rotaract Art/Jamming Event

February 29, 2012 in Events, Rotaract

Chris and I are Beijing Rotaract members. We have participated in various projects since last fall. This time around we volunteered at the Art/Jamming Event. Crystal Lo did an awesome job organizing an event at Peking Fine Arts. The purpose of the event was to allow participants to produce their own pieces of art while enjoying a night out. Sponsors at the event included: The Wine republic, The Little Gold Book, Pekin Fine Arts, and My China Opportunity.

All proceeds of this event went to Shelterbox. Shelterbox is an organization that provides emergency supplies during times of disaster. If you would like more information about Beijing Rotaract & the events they hold, you may visit them here.
